Inflation is Going to the (Super) Moon

On April 26th, the moon will appear inflated, 7% bigger and 15% brighter. This so-called pink super moon reminds us that our perspective matters. When it comes to inflation, how we experience it varies by individual.

We know, for example, that 2x4 lumber is the same cut of lumber as it was last year, but the price has absolutely increased. Stock prices, similarly, are also impacted by inflation. Yet, as with the super moon and prices for 2x4s, experiences are relative. This is why a part of portfolios should be designed to keep pace with inflation.
