Market Perspective on Bitcoin

It was Halloween night 2008, during the financial crisis, when Satoshi Nakamoto, published an eight-page white paper titled "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System".

In this paper, Nakamoto (a fictitious name) had put forth a concept designed to solve two issues of traditional banking: how to move something of value on the internet without a central intermediary and how to prevent the "double-spending" problem.

In this week's Market Perspective video, Jason sits down with Vector's communications director, Ezra to discuss Bitcoin. Beyond the exchange-traded price, which has been more volatile in recent months, the network has been advancing in several ways.
